So you are having a party or hosting an event of some kind and you are trying to think of something truly unique to have in the way of entertainment. Something that not only will give the guests something to do but might also give them something to walk away with. But what could that be?
Enter….The Airbrush Artist… I know, I know, you are thinking what does some old hippie guy painting t-shirts for my kid at the beach on Vacation have to to with my Corporate Event, Birthday Party, Bar/BatMitzvah, Grand opening, Fundraiser etc…?
Well I’m here to tell you that Airbrush is not just for the tourist traps any longer. While the airbrush may have a little bit of “nostalgia” attached to it for some people of certain ages, today it is as popular as it has ever been and more importantly, more mainstream and accessible then having to wait until spring break or summer vacation to get something airbrushed.
The airbrush has come a long way since it’s meager beginning in the late 1800’s as a tool for retouching photographs. Even further since the days of Ed “Big Daddy” Roth and his famed Rat Fink character(supposedly a long lost cousin of that famous Mouse) who is credited with beginning the whole “airbrushed t-shirt” fad in the late 50’s early 60’s. Today this artistic tool has invaded so many aspects of our lives that people don’t even give it a second thought. More importantly people are completely oblivious to the versatility of this tool.
The airbrush or slight variations of the tool, is used in painting everything from t-shirts and auto-motives to naked bodies and murals. The versatility of the airbrush is only limited by the ability of the artist using it. Hence it has been able to survive so long….we love to say the it is the “Longest running FAD…Ever!” The airbrush has simply never gone out of style… the “FAD” never faded… it just kept adapting for each generation and each generation has found a new use for the airbrush.
I know, I know…enough with the history lesson, what does this have to do with your event?
With the versatility of the airbrush and the advancement in the equipment itself. The airbrush has adapted to being much more mobile then it ever has. Hence the reason you now see airbrush artists everywhere including events just like the one you are planning.
We believe that airbrush artists truly are the first “visual artists” to become “performance artists”. People love to watch an airbrush artist work. There is just something about that Psssst, Psssst, Psst….sound that attracts people to stop what they are doing and watch for a few moments as a true artist transforms a blank white t-shirt into a one of a kind artistic party favor….or…transforms a naked human body into an out of this world one of a kind piece of art. This is exactly what an airbrush artist can do for YOUR event.
Just think about the 50 kids you have coming to your childs birthday party being able to stand and watch as an artist takes a blank t-shirt, hat, tote bag etc…and in a matter of minutes transforms this blank item into a unique “personalized” party favor. At the same time, your child and their friends will cherish not only the item itself, but the experience of being able to watch as it is made right in front of them.
Image your booth at the next trade-show or expo with a line of people waiting to get a free airbrushed tattoo of your logo on their body, or how about that same line of people waiting to get a free hat, water bottle, sling bag etc…with their name on it all compliments of your company. This will truly be a way for those people to remember your company.
Image an Art Gallery opening where you have models walking around painted as pieces of art themselves. People stopping them to get a picture with them not realizing that these models are actually naked.
Or how about a Company picnic or Holiday party where an airbrush artist can do everything from airbrushed tattoos, hats, shirts, room pennants and so much more just so your company can show appreciation to your employees.
Of course there is always the Grand Opening of any type of business. Having an airbrush artist there to give away free keepsakes or personalize your our merchandise is a great way to introduce yourself to your new neighbors and future customers.
The above examples are just a few of the many different reasons why an airbrush artist can add a little “artistic touch” to your event.
The types of items we can paint are as varied as the types of events we can paint at. We have the most popular items such as temporary tattoos, T-shirts, Hats, Room Pennants, Hoodies, but have also been hired to paint pillows, bulletin boards, socks, sports balls and any other number of items our clients can think of that will make their event memorable.
So the next time you are planning an event, take a few moments and ask yourself, “what can an airbrush artist add to my event”…..then just give us a call and we will be able to tell you. In the meantime check out these pictures below of our artists in action and then head on over to our events page https://www.anythingairbrushed.com/events-1 and see for yourself some examples of the many different events we have done in the past.
